When you follow our guide you won’t miss a thing, just make sure to give your self a day or two. This is the real California Adventure, so buckle up and sit back as we go.

This is where we start our journey, at the top of the hill coming down the 15 freeway. From there we will come down into the Valley, dipping off the freeway to continue on Route 66. For The next several miles we will see some of the most iconic sites on this side of the Valley.

Now that we are in the rolling hills, we can imagine what this where like only 50 years ago. Ever wonder where the horse riding Cali-Cowboys went to? This next area gets into the true western culture, still tucked away and out of mind.
Cruse
Here we go from Cowboys to Stars! Route 66 takes us really close to some of the most iconic Los Angels attractions. This is a wonderful place to start the day seeing places and things everyone knows about. Just remember, next time you watch a movie or play a video game it is there because Route 66.
Explore
The only proper way to end this trip is by having at least a full half day to explore the amazing Santa Monica peer and community. There is everything from rides and games, to the highest quality food known to fairs. This is a wonderful place for couples, new and old to be as fancy or free as they desire. But don’t skip the Adventure 66, to let you know what it took to build our great cities.

Day 1: From the 15 Freeway to La Verne
Morning: Starting at the 15 Freeway
Your journey begins at the top of the 15 Freeway, where the morning sun casts a golden glow over the vast desert landscape. Your car hums westward as anticipation builds for the adventure ahead. The first stop is the Victorville Route 66 Museum, where you step back in time surrounded by memorabilia from the highway's heyday. Late Morning: Barstow
Continuing your drive, you arrive in Barstow, a town steeped in Route 66 history. The Route 66 "Mother Road" Museum offers a rich collection of artifacts and stories, while the Harvey House Railroad Depot stands as a grand reminder of the golden age of rail travel. The scent of aged wood and the echo of old train whistles transport you back to a bustling time.
Before leaving Barstow, you make a quick stop at Barstow Station, a quirky shopping and dining area built inside old train cars. The novelty of this location, combined with its variety of fast food options and souvenir shops, makes it a memorable stop.
Lunch: Barstow
You decide to have lunch at Peggy Sue's 50s Diner, a classic American diner that feels like stepping into a time capsule. The jukebox plays old rock 'n' roll tunes as you savor a hearty burger and milkshake, the perfect fuel for the journey ahead.
Afternoon: Heading Towards La Verne
Back on the road, you pass through Helendale, where you take a quick break at Helendale Community Park. The fresh air and open space provide a nice respite before continuing towards Oro Grande again. Here, the Iron Hog Saloon and Silver Dollar Chuckwagon Mercantile offer unique souvenirs and a taste of local flavor.
As you drive, the landscape changes from desert to rolling hills and vineyards. The Cucamonga Valley is your next destination, where you stop at San Antonio Winery and Joseph Filippi Winery. Early Evening: Rancho Cucamonga
In Rancho Cucamonga, the historic Sycamore Inn, which has been serving travelers since 1848, awaits. Day 2: La Verne to Santa Monica Pier
Morning: Breakfast in Old Town Glendora
The next morning, drive to Glendora Village for breakfast at The Village Eatery. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and homemade pastries greets you as you step inside. After a satisfying meal, head to the local stables to say hello to the horses from a safe distance. The gentle nickers and the sight of these majestic animals create a peaceful start to your day.
Late Morning: Glendora to Pasadena
Driving westward, stop at Donut Man in Glendora, famous for its fresh strawberry donuts. The sweet aroma of freshly baked donuts is irresistible, making this a must-visit spot.

Lunch: Pasadena
